Slot Car Tracks
Roughly 49 metres of track (250 odd
sections), 12 cans of expanding foam, lots of craftwood, foam trees (they
get hit by cars a lot) and a couple of litres of paint and model grass… The club has been going for 14 years but the last 5
years has been with the modern Scalextric stuff. This is our 8th track, we
have 8 classes of mostly Scalextric racing (apart from the open class and
semi open class).
Lap times across 50 metres is around 17 secs for the
really quick stuff and 21 secs for much slower stuff. A championship
season goes for around 12 weeks. Cheers - Stuart
