Additional Information
- No.1 main bearing changed from two to one piece (full groove).
- One way valves added to oil passage in heads.
- Oil return passage from the oil-pump seal goes to sump rather than to pump inlet (to prevent the pump sucking in air.
- Oil pressure relief valve vent bore modified, again to prevent suction of air.
(The vent bore prevents any pressure build up behind the piston which would prevent the valve from opening).
- Pressure relief valve piston with a seal available as a spare part, again to prevent suction of air, specifically for people who report rattling tappets.
