The QLD v NSW Go Kart TrophyI would like to thank all who participated and feel that we had a great weekend. I would also like to thank all of you racers for accepting the new format at short notice. What a terrific sight of all the Karts on the start line and some enthusiastic racing ensued, 3/4 of an hour was not that long but some of us did find some new muscles and sore spots.

Congratulations to the Queenslanders for taking out the contest, yet again! All I can say about the the NSW team is age and weight must be problem.

The 2008 Port Mac. Go Kart competitors

I have to admit that introducing a certain Queenslander to a new beer was a highlight.

Of course John Gill won but I also have to say that Paula McMahon shone as the leading lady, coming in at third overall, a damn good effort.

I would have to say that the Sails Resort staff excelled themselves in doing everything to please us. It is almost like visiting a different country in the way of manners and concern for what they can do for you. I also found that same level of service at the Bowling club for lunch on Sunday afternoon.

A particular mention of Lisa Gill and Paul Muras who organised the dinner on Friday and Sunday nights. Once again I thank you for your enthusiasm and commitment.

It was an immense pleasure for all of us to be at the same venue for each occasion, a real bonding experience.

A special mention to Len for his excellent video work on race day. I think most of us who were racing were wondering where he would pop up next around the track.

The Saturday night dinner was absolutely enhanced by Rhonda & John Holdsworth and their 928 quiz. I reckon there were a few 928's with missing parts. I am looking forward to some of the more colourful answers being published on the Landshark list especially the '928 Divas' responses.

It was good to see Steve & Natalie Aitken and family again. Always good company and a special mention for Ian Powell and children, it was a pleasure to meet you all.

So to end, one big thank you to you all!
You make it, you are it! We are 928!
(S4's in particular)

Your friends, Frank and Marita n'furter, '87 S4, Red and LOUD!
